Most people like going on fishing expeditions with the ease of lightweight tools and equipment. That is one of the reasons why the Sea Eagle PF7K Packfish Fishing Boat will come in very handy…literally.
Transporting this particular inflatable boat to the shoreline is as simple as strapping it to your back.
This 21-pound nylon vessel comes with a three-year manufacturer warranty, you don’t have to be afraid of being scammed.
The Sea Eagle PF7K PackFish comes in hunter green, and is not just for fishing but boating, camping & hiking, and other outdoor events involving water.
Parts included in the package are hull, backpack, seat, pump, oar set, repair kit, so do not expect to get the fishing rods, which are only for display purposes…sorry!
If children are on the excursion, it is not advisable to have them handle the boat as it is built for adult use only.
Now that we know what we can expect from the PackFish boat, let’s get into the features, specs, owners’ reviews, the pros and cons, and of course, our humble opinion.
Features
If you like your fishing or camping toys fully loaded with features, then this is the right fit for you. Here are some e of the fundamental features:
Two 36″ Fish Rulers
There are two strategically positioned 36″ Fish Rulers on each side of the boat. Therefore, anglers will no longer have to be concerned about forgetting, misplacing, dropping, corrosion, or the defect of one of your largely significant fishing devices!
Four Tracking Strips
For smooth tracking, this amazing single-seater boat comes with four tracking strips to boost you when battling some seriously big fish. They also promote stability and reduce the possibility of being swirled around by the breeze.
Two Built-In Rod Holders
The two firmly-created rod holders built into the hull have been conveniently located for easy reach and trolling.
No matter how much aggression or agility a fisherman might have, the rod holders are made to withstand pressure over years of usage.
Additionally, the side hook and loop straps can act as secondary holders for the rods and can keep them from creating clutter when not being used.
Molded Oarlocks
The oarlocks are molded and conveniently keep the oars in their place while you fish. Even though the firmly-molded plastic clasps the oars tight, it still enables you to paddle for long distances comfortably. They also play a double role as handlebars.

What Do Users Say?
People have a lot to say about this boat, and most of it is on the positive side.
Durable and Sturdy
“Inflatable hull material is incredibly tough. Fishhooks are sharp, of course, but are designed to engage a fish’s mouth. They should glance off the round, smooth, hard surface of the inflated hull. However, with any inflatable, care should be taken to avoid sharp objects.”
This review will definitely be a selling point for anyone weighing their mind about buying the Sea Eagle PF7K Packfish Fishing Boat.
It also handles rocks pretty well, sliding around them with ease due to its large sir chambers.
Even though it doesn’t come with a floorboard like the pro model, you can improvise and install your own if you don’t want to sit down while fishing.
Even without floor boards, you can still stand up and fish, but it depends on the water flow.
Easy Carry and Assembly
The boat can be strapped to your back and carried pretty easily, whether inflated or not.
Sea Eagle PF7K PackFish can actually go everywhere with you. It does easily into the backpack, which is part of the package and can effortlessly fit on your car’s rear seat or in the trunk.
Going on vacation in another state, check it unto your flight.
Once removed from the package, it can be set up within five minutes.
Storage and Accessories
The built-in ruler feature is welcomed by many users who sometimes forget that important tool when game fishing.
Not one or two but four tracking strips are in the package. These do not only enhance the Oarlocks double as handles giving users great balance.

Comes with a backpack, portable seat, pump, oar set, and repair kit. The oarlock setup is hands-free, which is awesome because they are never in the way.
There is one pouch pocket to each side for storing tackles etc., and they even have cup holders.
The built-in rod holders are welcome additions, while the hook and loop side straps serve dual purposes as they could fit even more fishing rods or be used as replacements.
Pros and Cons
As with everything in life, there are always two sides or more. Here are some things we find really awesome about this boat and a handful that some customers seem to be annoyed by.
- The legroom is quite good for very tall users, with an option to remove the seat and utilize a cushion for greater comfort.
- Can draft areas with as little as four inches of water.
- It can be used in both calm water and rapids.
- Hull is super rigid even against the fishing hook and other sharp objects(still be careful, though).
- Lots of accessories
- Great storage space
- A few people seem disgruntled that there is no motor mount/transom even though the NMMA grades it for use with a single hp motor
- Has no floorboards. (deluxe package does)
- Oars can be uncomfortable to use depending on your build.
- Not self-bailing
Should You Invest In The Sea Eagle PF7K Packfish?
Our rating: 4.3 / 5
Overall, this is one of the sturdier fishing boats that is suitable for both calm water and rapids.
If you’re looking for a level two rapids type boat, this boat is durable, but you may need to invest in a kayak-style oar. The oars do not fare as well as the boat.
Also, the legroom is excellent for people up to six feet tall. Any taller, no, you’ll be cramped, especially if you have a lot of gear and other items.
It carries up to 300 pounds, including gears, and will draft in even super low water.
It has no motor mount!
If you’re looking for something easy to carry that’s non-motorized and flexible for any type of outdoor occasion, this boat will be ideal for you.
